Who we are:
Founded in 2011, the Gorham Arts Alliance mission is simple: we serve to inspire, enrich, and strengthen our community by offering cultural and educational experiences through the Arts. Throughout our work, we strive to engage members of our community and are dedicated to creating vibrant visual and performing arts experiences. Gorham Arts Alliance’s Theater Program began in 2012 as “Gorham’s 1st Children’s Theater” as there were limited in-school and no out of school opportunities for children or adults in the immediate area. The theater program has changed and grown to performing two to three summer camp productions, a fall youth theater, after school classes, a reader's theater for our preschool and in 2019 our first adult community production- All Shook Up. Our theater programs focus on process; our goal is to teach life skills through theater skills and help those who wish to pursue the craft of theater hone their skills and find their artistic voice.
